What a stunningly beautiful story!!

Vinny is nothing like what you would expect & everything you would want in a man!
He is funny, he is smart & he is the ultimate alpha male. He is also the good time guy.
Annalissa is beautiful and talented, she is also stronger than she realises. I don't think anyone realises just how much of a backbone she has until she is put to the test. She may also be the exact right woman to bring Vinny to his knees!
Maryann Jordan has once again demonstrated her talent in bringing the alpha male and the independent woman together and weaving a beautiful story with lots of twists & turns that you never see coming. The mystery in this book had me convinced I knew who the villain was right up until the end when I was proven dead wrong!!
The love and support of the whole Alvarez Security Team is as usual well placed & comes at just the right time. You can't help but think if all families were like this the world would be a happier place!!
What I love about this book as with all of Maryann Jordan's stories is that she writes so well that it is easy to escape into the romance of the story & its almost like you are watching it play out in front of you. You get to tune out to real life for a couple of hours & live in the world of someone else.
I absolutely loved Vinny, I loved Annalissa and I think Maryann Jordan has done a beautiful job bringing them both to life!! I can't wait to read the next instalment of this series!!

Loved It!

This is the third in the Alvarez Security series and my favorite so far. Vinny and Annalissa are opposite as can be but when circumstances throw them together their chemistry can not be denied. Vinny is hired to keep her safe and what started as a simple job turned into much more than he expected. This story is full of suspense, twist and turns and some steamy sex scenes as the two travel across the country trying to avoid danger and keep Annalissa safe. This book had me hooked from the start and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end.

Vinny stole my heart!!

I have been waiting for the release of Vinny's book. Anyone who knows me realizes that I am a huge Maryann Jordan fan and love her Alvarez Security guys. Each of them have been great to read about, but a couple have stolen my heart more than others. One of these would be Vinny. Throughout the series, it is well documented that he is for all intents and purposes, a "man whore." Sorry, Maryann! But, it's true...he was commitment-phobic like a lot of guys are, but his was well and truly over the top. I kept wondering how such a good man and one that was so obviously thrilled his brother, Gabe, had found "the one" could be as shallow as he was in his private life. I hate that I'm making him sound so awful...just setting the stage for my review.
Once I got into the book, it became clear almost immediately why he acted the way that he did. His emotions were on lock-down due to a terrible experience that he had while in the army. He equated this incident not only to women, but to music as well. It was so sad that the trauma he experienced in the army took such a toll in his life and bore so much weight in his decision-making.
Having said all of that, I knew there was more to Vinny than just being a good time guy. There were flashes of it throughout the series and especially in Gabe's book. I think all along he secretly wanted what his brothers-in-arms had; he was just afraid to accept it or thought he didn't deserve it. He just needed to meet the right girl. And with all the new couples going on at Alvarez, I knew there was going to be some matchmaking going on. I just had no idea it would be Tony lol. We all know and love Tony, their commander in the army and boss at Alvarez, and I think he had been watching Vinny for a long time just waiting for the right time and the right assignment or should I say girl.
Upon hearing the assignment Vinny was given, I had a secret suspicion something was going on. I certainly didnt think it was going to be a sexy rock star, but neither did I think his assignment would be a fresh sweet-spirited harpist. I love how Maryann took almost the exact traumatic thing in Vinny's past and brought it full circle to heal him. I loved Annalisa from the instant we meet her in the story. She is exactly what Vinny needed from her lovely personality down to her virginal status. I know some might think that is cliche, but I just felt that he needed something to remind him of the sweetness of something new and good...and he was what she needed as well. With all of the people pushing her around, she needed his strength to stand up to all of them and make herself heard. I love their instant connection through music. Of course, I love Vinny's protectiveness of Annalisa and I especially admired that he realized she wasn't a weakling, but just had a quiet personality.
I don't want to give away the rest of the story, but there is a huge amount of suspense, some hot love scenes, but what is amazing is the love that these two share. They just balance each other out in every way. And I have to say that I love that Annalisa didn't shame Vinny because of his past like some women might have done. I could see that it was sometimes hard for her to deal with, but she dealt with it with grace like she did everything else. And Vinny, he just did anything possible to make her feel that she was the only one that he could see.
Maryann Jordan did a superb job with Vinny in every way imaginable. I felt like I knew both Vinny and Annalisa personally. In my opinion this is a strength of Maryann Jordan. She not only can write the love of a century, but she makes them seem like your best friends while doing it. I couldn't find any fault with this story, but then I usually can't anyway. I give Vinny 5 stars. Congratulations Maryann Jordan on another story very very well done!
